Four Seasons Punta Mita

I just got back from an assisting gig with Marc Norberg in Punta Mita, Mexico. It's about an hour's drive from Puerto Vallarta, a beautiful resort community nested in between lush green mountains and long stretches of clean white beaches.

The surrounding environment is very much preserved and is inhabited with so many different insects, animals, and fauna that I have never seen before. We were introduced to wild chickens (chachalacas), our favorite, named after their chachalaca sounding noise - which Marc, Jesus and I christened ourselves after as the "tres chachalacas".

Anyway, so here are a whole bunch of images that I managed to snap. Wish I could have had more time there... And I'm DEFINITELY going back to see the rest of Puerto Vallarta, the Sierra Madres, also for those damn lighting shots that I didn't get!

This was shot with my new Hassie.

These were all shot with my Bessa.

I wish I were still in Punta Mita. I wish I had had more time to meet the local fisherman, to learn Spanish, to see Puerto Vallarta dripping in golden honey light, to shoot the natural wonders that cover that land, to experience the Temescal spa experience, to trek the Sierra Madre jungles...
