New developments

So, yesterday sent off my first set of promos to some magazines. It was horribly nerve racking, I was shakey and jittery for awhile... But now I'm excited :) We'll see what sort of response I get. I'll be on the phone calling around in the next couple of days... At some point soon I have to finish off my new site, hopefully this weekend or first thing next week...

On Thursday I'm meeting with Odette Sugarman to see about assisting. She's got some amazing work... I think she has a new shoot in Brentwood Magazine this month.
I'm VERY excited to meet her! I was passed on her info from Chris Howell, who I met at Freestyle Photo. He gave me some pointers on an interesting light modification technique which I hope to test out soon and then tell you all about.

And, planning on a beauty shoot with Stephanie, and amazing makeup artist who I've worked with before on the Metal Queen and Geisha shoots. We're hoping to work with Angel, a gorgeous model from Otto Models who looks like Elizabeth Hurley!

Yesterday, Mel and I went downtown to Michael Levine's in the garment district to look at fabrics, and I am completely inspired! I am thinking about taking a class or two in fashion design either at Santa Monica College or Otis! Random, maybe, but very exciting nonetheless!
