Payday...Soon?

The thing I am dreading doing today is calling up a client and asking them when I can expect to see a check. It's been awhile since the job finished, but most clients wait 30 days before sending out checks.
It's been 42 days since the deadline, and I have bills to pay.
And is it 30 days from the deadline, or 30 days from when they print it, or 30 days from the end of the month???
Well, I'll find out soon...
